About Us?
Global HomeXchangers is a subsidiary company of Global Penfriends. We first started Global Penfriends in 1995 and now have over 15, 000 people from all over the world involved in our penpalling community. If you are interested in learning more about our penpal club or the art of snail mail, please click here. Our penpal members increasingly began to demand a service which focussed more on home exchange and vacations. We have answered these calls and produced this fully user driven website which our penpal members and others can use to find the most appropriate home exchange possible. What makes this home exchange and house swapping website different to others on the internet is that this is the first site to originate from a penpalling community. We believe that this is a huge advantage becuase one of the biggest obstacles to overcome in a home exchange is the trust barrier. The pen palling community is one built on friendship and getting to know your pals from across the other side of the world. To increase the trust and secuirity in our club we have introduced an optional safe exchange security check. This security check asks that people provide identification documents to Global HomeXchangers in order for their profile to be given a "safe-exchange" tick on their profile. Our Safe exchange security check is just one way Global HomeXchangers can ensure that our membership base is legitamate and secure. It is intended that our membership base will largely be derived from trusted and established members of our penpal community.
